The Purple Puppies Soccer Team!

Hannah played her first season of soccer this fall at Mt Bethel. This last Saturday was the end of the season. And what a fun season it was. Hannah started out so timid, nervous and unsure of what she was doing. She was playing with girls that were experienced and even had some fancy foot work!

As the season went on, Hannah got more and more comfortable and found her position. Defense. Hannah loves to play defense. I think it was a good start for her as she knew exactly what she was supposed to do, keep the ball out of the goal! And wouldn't you know it, by the end of the season she was doing just that. She wasn't letting any goals past her.

Hannah's last two games she played awesome. She got more confidence, had fun, and played her little heart out. She was hustling, sprinting for balls, showed no fear and was kicking the heck out of the ball. We were so proud of her. I was just happy she stuck with it, paid attention to the coaches and took the time to learn. She finally admitted at the end that she really liked it and wants to play in the spring again. Of course, I am happy to watch!

Drew's silver ninjas season also came to and end. Drew scored goals every game, and their team went undefeated, most in part due to Drew and his buddy Colton that rocked it out on the field. Drew now wants goalie gloves like his cousin Lucas. Drew was quite the little goalie out there as well as goal scorer! Always fun to watch!

Now, fall and winter are finally upon us. Although it was 82 degrees and sunny today, the leaves actually are changing here.  Hannah will be starting tennis matches for 10 and under doubles this winter. She is excited to finally play matches and has been practicing a lot. It will be cute to watch!  And Drew swears he is playing baseball next spring. I am happy to support what he wants but am not ready for him to walk away from soccer, I just get such a kick out of watching him:)!!
