Nasa Soccer Season Opener
Hannah is playing for Nasa Soccer - North Atlanta Soccer Association - this year. She tried out for the U9 team this spring and thankfully made it! She has learned so much in such a short time and is really enjoying it. She has made a ton of new little friends and really likes the game. They had a camp this summer, and tournament a few weeks back, but today was the season opener.
Here are some action shots of Hannah. They won about 12-1 so it wasn't much of a game but they had fun. Hannah almost scored a goal. It bounced right off the goal post... so close. She played right wing and little defense too. I think she really liked right wing. She did great and I love watching the progress she has made over the last year.
Another action shot.
The team is a year long commitment, fall season runs August to November and then springs starts in February. They will get a little break over the winter, but right back at it after the holidays. She seems to like it and never complains, so that is a good :)
It was our first gorgeous day in a really really long time here in Atlanta. tHe humidity moved out and we actually had a day in the mid 70's with a breeze. I was in heaven. Poor Hannah and Drew spent their summer at camps in 100 degree weather. Ugh... hoping that is behind us for a little while so being outside is more enjoyable.
Go Nasa! Go Ninjas and Go Seahawks! Here's to a fun fall and watching these kids have some fun!

Mt Bethel Season Opener
Today has already been an action packed Saturday. Drew played soccer at 9am for the Black Ninjas and then went straight to Flag football at 10am to play for the Seattle Seahawks. Drew woke up this morning all excited saying "today is the season opener, lets go, lets go". And off we went.
Drew played his little heart out. The ultimately lost the game, but they all played really well. Drew had about 6 or 7 shots on goal, each one barely missed. The corner kick he had in shot was amazing. World cup style in the middle high in the air. Unfortunately it was a little much for the little ones to keep up with.
This little boy Drew is going against here was the best player on the other team, also big brother to one of Hannah's little soccer friends. They went head on the entire game and did great. It was fun to watch. After the game, Drew headed to the porta pot to change into his football uniform. That won't happen again. After he got his shirt on backwards, shorts all twisted and was crying cause the smell, we finally get him to the field. I told his next time if would be just fine to change in the woods:)
Here is my future Ohio State running back, #13. Todd nicely reminded me that Maurice Clarett was also #13, which we don't want him exactly following in his footsteps, just the winning the national championship part. Flag football is quite interesting to watch. They basically hike the ball, the and running back runs his heart out. There were a few passes, but it is pretty much a running and hope for the best kind of game at this age.
Drew got to play running back a few times and he was pretty darn good. He is fast and agile out there and really fun to watch. We fibbed about his age a bit as this is for 1st and 2nd graders, so Drew and his buddy Zach are by far the youngest and smallest on the team, but by the way they played, you would never know. They are both tough little players.
As much as I don't want Drew to play football when he gets older, I have to say he does love it and it is fun to watch. I just don't want my baby getting hurt :)
Hannah has her Nasa soccer season opener this afternoon. She is excited and we are looking forward to watching her play. I am thinking I won't have a fall or spring saturday free for the next 12 years so I should get used to this :) I wouldn't have it any other way though. I love watching these kids.

Tess and Jake's Wedding
Yesterday was the big day! Hannah and Drew have been soooo excited to be a part of their wedding. We can finally introduce the new Mr and Mrs Field!
Here is the beautiful bride, and the handsome groom saying their vows... loved every minuted of watching this perfect couple get married. You couldn't find two better people, so loving, so kind and so generous. We could not be any happier for them to begin their life together.
The perfect first kiss as husband and wife. They are so lucky to have found each other. I can't wait until they have kids of their own one day as they will be amazing parents. They both bring such joy to Hannah and Drew. They are part of our family now. We love them both so much.
Hannah and Jane were the adorable junior bridesmaids. They were instantly friends and had a blast at the rehearsal and wedding. You would had thought they had known each other forever. Tess was Jane's nanny before she started with us. Jane and her parents moved to ND and came back to celebrate. We had fun getting to know them.
I fell in love with the flower girl yesterday. Gorgeous little angel with a spirited personality to go with it. Drew was all excited to walk down the aisle, although he got pretty shy and didn't smile much. He was pretty focused.
The wedding and the venue were gorgeous. I loved seeing all of Tess and Jake's personality come out in the wedding. The country, the amazing decor and added touches that made the day their own.
Here are is junior wedding party. So cute.
Two of my favorites :) Drew made is debut at the reception by dancing into the crowd when they accounted his name when introducing the wedding party. It was adorable and hilarious. I was sad I didn't get it on camera, but he danced and smiled his way down the aisle.
I loved, loved, loved the setting for the ceremony. Doesn't get more gorgeous than this. A little bit of heaven on earth.
A big congratulations to Tess and Jake. We are so happy for them and are so happy to be a part of their special day. We wish them both the happiest of marriages and a blessed future.
