Hannah made the most of it, but poor Hannah got sick with Rotavirus on her first Christmas, which was not very fun. She got sick Sunday before Christmas, and is just now starting to feel a little better today. While she was still in pretty good spirits, she made the most of Christmas with her new ball pit from Santa. She loves playing in it and throwing balls at Murphy. Murphy than takes the balls and make his own little pile, and back and forth they go. Hannah received some wonderful new gifts she will enjoy playing with once she feels a litte better. Uncle John got her an adorable build a bear with a matching outfit for her self. Grandpa got her some fun books and Aunt Andrea got her a fun personalized CD with nursery Rhymes. She can't wait to try it all out. We will post more once Hannah is smiling again and back to her old self! Her big 1 year birthday is coming up soon... just don't know where all the time went?

Christmas 2007 - Hannah meets Santa!

Well, she didn't cry, but didn't really smile either. Hannah's first time meeting the big man himself, Santa Claus. With a look of concern, we have her first picture with Santa. And boy have times changed. Did you know you can now make an online reservation to see Santa? What happened to the hours of standing in line with sreaming kids and impatient parents to capture those few special moments on camera. And, did you also know everything is now captured on video too? All for about a $100 you can have a few pictures and a video of your "Santa Experience". Times have changed, but the experience hasn't. I have to say, at this age, the picture is for the parents, but it was special to watch the little ones in line anticipating meeting Santa with their lists in hand ready to tell him all about the toys they want this season. And no Santa line is complete without the little 4 year old boy next to you in line screaming "Mommy I want to go home, I am scared". You just aren't sure if it is inappropriate to laugh because it is actually somewhat cute. So, there she is, ready to celebrate her first Christmas.. I think mom and dad are more excited than she is. After all, her favorite gift won't be the toys, rather the box it came in. Merry Christmas Everyone! Enjoy the time with your families, and take the time to reflect on the special gifts of health, happiness and laughter that keeps us going everyday!

I'm 11 Months Old!
What a difference a month makes! Hannah is a little person now. Thanksgiving day she took her first steps, and now she is taking off. 10 wobbly steps has now turned into a little run. She is a character and has had such a busy month. She got to see all her Dice relatives over thanksgiving in Ohio, and got to meet her new cousin Lucas for the first time! She spent time with her pen pal Thompson who lives all the way in London, and was able to spend time with friends Anna and Allie from Indianapolis. Hannah had her first taste of an oreo cookie, and did that ever go over well. Mom and Dad learned we should had maybe held off on that between the sugar rush and the fact that every time she sees anything that resembles and oreo she shrieks with excitement. Her new other favorite foods are goldfish crackers, mandarin oranges, macaroni and cheese, and her old favorite stand-bye, peas. Hannah still needs to learn to actually sleep through the night, she is struggling in that area a little... it might be a rough month ahead of us as we try to course correct on her sleep habits. We are looking forward to celebrating Hannah's first Christmas and her first birthday in the next week. So much to look forward to, and Hannah is wishing for a Buckeye National Championship Title for her birthday! Hannah says "Go Bucks" - well... at least we are working on her saying that! :)

Target Shopper
Hannah is quite the entertainer these days at Target. What we think is funny and cute and described as a danger zone on the cart. "Do not let child stand in cart" Well, who ever decided that didn't know Hannah. Keeping her settled and down in sitting position on a Target trip isn't exactly easy. So, we make sure to keep a sharp watch on her and make sure she is safe, but having fun. I am not sure what is more fun, Hannah or watching everyone's expression as well roll on by in the cart as she waves to everyone she sees and laughs. It is pretty funny. We had to capture her on camera because bringing Hannah to Target is generally one of the highlights of our Saturday afternoon ( sad really). Hannah had her first sip of a Cherry flavored slurpy today ( dad thought that was a good idea).. She loved it and get her all wound up! :)
