And this is what we get to wake up to these days!! There truly is nothing more fun than walking into Hannah's room each morning...... except that it is generally before 6am, ouch. Any time between 5:15am and 5:45am we generally start to hear our little one decide she is going to start her day... much to mom and dad's wishes that she would just sleep a little bit longer. We generally try to leave her in her crib until closer to 6am, and by the time we get in there... she is nothing but smiles to greet us. I think by the time we get to her she is just so excited to have someone to play with!! Many times, she has both arms wrapped around the bars of the crib with her little face sticking in between them all smiles and laughing. It is just too cute to not capture in a photo!

The Great Outdoors
Dad had been working real hard on the deck this weekend! We now have a landing to walk outside on, the stairs should follow today. Hannah wasn't real happy being inside with all the banging, cutting, and sawing going on outside... we decided if you can't beat em, join em. So that is what we did. After Hannah had a long day fighting a cold and was nothing less than cranky, we got out a blanket and watched dad walk back and forth from the deck to the garage sawing wood, and did Hannah ever love watching dad. The entertainment outside with wonderful. It was a beautiful evening, slight breeze and upper 70's.. the first smile Hannah had all day. So we have now learned, when Hannah gets fussy...spend time outside.

Pool Party!
Fun Chaos is what this is! Hannah had her first pool party at school today. All the parents went to see their little ones in action. Hannah's friends spent more time looking at eachother, pushing eachother, hanging on for dear life. Hannah seemed to enjoy it though.. she loves the water and splashing around! After the young infants got out, the older infant got in the pool, and man did Hannah love watching them. Splash contests were in action. I think she was in awe of what life will be like soon!

I'm 6 months old!!
Hannah is 6 months old and has realized these signs are just so much fun to play with. Our little signs just might be a thing of the past. Wrestling a piece of paper out of a 6 month old's mouth really isn't all that fun. But... that is the age. 6 months is so much fun. Hannah is trying her hardest to crawl.. butt in the air, but moving backwards a little. Rolling over like crazy, sitting up on her own. It is a whole new world for her. She can sit up and play with her toys now, reach for what she wants to play with and attempt to crawl wherever she wants to go. She will only get quicker as days pass. She is having a great summer and has learned how fun it is to splash in a swimming pool, which has lead right into the bath tub. Bath time has now gotten a little longer, and a little messier.. but a lot more fun for Hannah. She now cries when we take her out of the tub, and that is generally when she is a prune. She has started eating solid. Doesn't care too much for grean beans ( can't blame her) but seems to really like peas, squash and applesauce. And Hannah's current favorite toy... her dog Murphy. Nothing gets Hannah laughing like her little dog. They are quite cute with eachother and have become good friends!
As parents we are learning that as babies get older, your work gets much harder, but more fun at the same time. Eagle eyes on Hannah are a must at all times, but she makes us laugh more, smile more, and appreciate being a family - savoring every moment. We are quite fond of her.. even when she is up between 2-5am, we take the time to embrace the cuddling moments that will soon dissapear. So Hannah's first year is half over... The worst part of being a parent so far is lost sleep, the best part... is everything else.

Happy 4th of July!
Hannah and mom worked real hard on some cupcakes to bring to Kim and Jason's for a 4th of July BBQ. Hannah and her friend Eleanor had a wonderful time splashing around in the pool!! What a great day! Dad spent the day working on taking the deck apart to rebuild this weekend. Mom and Hannah stayed out of the way and entertained ourselves inside. More deck updates coming soon!
