Hannah is 6 months old and has realized these signs are just so much fun to play with. Our little signs just might be a thing of the past. Wrestling a piece of paper out of a 6 month old's mouth really isn't all that fun. But... that is the age. 6 months is so much fun. Hannah is trying her hardest to crawl.. butt in the air, but moving backwards a little. Rolling over like crazy, sitting up on her own. It is a whole new world for her. She can sit up and play with her toys now, reach for what she wants to play with and attempt to crawl wherever she wants to go. She will only get quicker as days pass. She is having a great summer and has learned how fun it is to splash in a swimming pool, which has lead right into the bath tub. Bath time has now gotten a little longer, and a little messier.. but a lot more fun for Hannah. She now cries when we take her out of the tub, and that is generally when she is a prune. She has started eating solid. Doesn't care too much for grean beans ( can't blame her) but seems to really like peas, squash and applesauce. And Hannah's current favorite toy... her dog Murphy. Nothing gets Hannah laughing like her little dog. They are quite cute with eachother and have become good friends!
As parents we are learning that as babies get older, your work gets much harder, but more fun at the same time. Eagle eyes on Hannah are a must at all times, but she makes us laugh more, smile more, and appreciate being a family - savoring every moment. We are quite fond of her.. even when she is up between 2-5am, we take the time to embrace the cuddling moments that will soon dissapear. So Hannah's first year is half over... The worst part of being a parent so far is lost sleep, the best part... is everything else.
