We had an action packed day today to say the least. We started off the day with our normal vacation routine of hitting the beach and the pool, oh, and popsicles by 10am. Drew was chilling on a lawn chair, digging some holes and splashing in the waves this morning.
While Hannah much preferred her time at the pool. She is becoming such a little fish. She now has figured out how to do flips under water and the breast stroke. We are so proud of her!!
We headed inside around 11am and decided to make a last minute trip to Sea World as the weather was a little iffy going into the afternoon. Orlando's forecast wasn't much better, but thought we would give it a try. We found out that we were one of the few people that decided to enter a theme park at 2pm with dark clouds and forecasted thunderstorms. Front row parking and no lines, hmmm this was going to be good. Come to find out, it was perfect. The rain started just as we entered the covered Dolphin show, and stopped right when the show was over. The sun came out and the crowd had cleared out even more. Perfect! Hannah had been begging to get her face painted the minute she saw it when we walked in. Since she has been so awesome on this trip, we agreed. It was the highlight of her day. She has such a big genuine smile on her face, I love it.
Hannah's $12 sea world face painting smile! She was looking in the mirror laughing. Then the got a hold of Drew the pirate. Hannah thought it was hilarious to watch Drew.
The more Hannah laughed, the more Drew laughed. They could hardly get him painted with all his giggles.
Afterwards he checked himself out and couldn't believe it. It really was so funny.
And finally, the finished products. Drew got into role and was saying "argh" to everyone that walked by. Hannah had her dolphin face paint, they were happy. From there we went to the Sea Lion show, went on a ride, fed dolphins, pet sting ray, saw alligators, sharks.. last but not least. ..
Made our way to the last show of the night for Rock N Roll Shamu. I think we liked it more than the kids as I think it was a little loud for them, but they had fun. I think they LOVED the dolphin show and sea lion show so much they were a little worn out.
And finally on the way out, Drew asked if he could get a picture in front of Shamu. Here is Todd and Drew saying good night sea world - until next time!
What a great day! Broke up the week a little with some fun outside the beach. Kids were great, the drive was easy. We are tired and ready for bed now! Tomorrow is our last full day here before heading to the villages to visit with the Renicks, weather may not cooprerate again, but we'll figure something out to make the most of our last beach day!
