Siesta Key Day 2

We had a great day today. Mostly sunny skies with a few scattered clouds and lots of play time outside. We started the day burying Hannah and Drew in the sand, and they thought that was pretty hilarious!   We were hoping they would stay in the sand for a little so Todd and I could take a little nap, but no such luck:)

Hannah worked so hard today making drip castles, sand meatballs, digging holes and collecting shells. Around lunch time Todd's family of Andrea, Cash, Ashley, Drake and Ashley's boyfriend Alex came to visit with us for the day. Hannah and Drew had so much fun with them, Cash and Drew bonded quite a bit as Drew found a new play buddy! Cash got Drew all wound up with a big case of the giggles.

We headed to the pool for a while too and Hannah did an awesome job swimming, and Drew kicked his little heart out wearing his floaties. After the pool, Drew was definitely wearing down as he was curled up in a ball in a blanket with eyes half open and went right to sleep on a lawn chair with his awesome home made cabana. Nothing like some shade, waves and she breeze for a perfect vacation nap.

In the evening we headed out for some italian food at came back for sunset to hang out on the beach for a while. The kids played soccer and finally got to use their kites they have been begging to use for weeks. However, I think Drake and Cash quickly took over flying those kits as their attention span was pretty short.

 Here are the kids with Aunt Andrea! They love playing with her and always look forward to the annual visit to the beach!

Ashley was also having a great time with the kids, as you can see, trying to get a photo with both of them had it's challenges.

The girls! I think Hannah is thankful she has at least one girl cousin :)

And Ashley and Drew! He sat still for one good squeeze and hug!

On today's agenda is a visit from cousin Sean and his girlfriend Caitlyn. We are looking forward to spending the day with them!
