The perfect fall weekend
It finally got a little chilly here this week, even a day in the upper 50's for a high. Brrr. Todd was in Boston this week for work and got home early Friday evening. We decided to have a family cook out night on the patio. We cooked hotdogs over the fire, had some baked beans and potato chips for dinner. Sure, not the healthiest, but tasted great on a cool night. Of course, our final course were toasted marshmallows. It was such a nice night and the kids loved it.
After dinner, we went inside and played some card games with the kids, including the all time facvorite, go fish. This morning, Hannah told me that was the best night of her life. So cute :)
Today after Drew's last tball game of the season, and watching our friends softball games, we picked out our pumpkins and carved away. We told the kids to do a drawing of what they wanted it to look like and that is what we did!
Hannah picked out a really big pumpkin, and Drews was the little one.
Finally here they are, just a few days away from trick or treat night. Oddly, as Todd pointed out, I think their pumpkin designs resemble their personalities.. just a little bit... :)
Tomorrow is the neighborhood Oktoberfest party which is always a fun time. Hayrides, hotdogs, games, and beer. What could be better?
