A Christmas filled weekend of fun!
This weekend was a busy but fun one. Todd's niece Ashley graduated from college this weekend ( yeah, congrats) so Todd and his dad headed to Tampa, FL for the weekend to celebrate. The kids and I had a great time, and they were really good for me. Saturday Hannah went to a birthday party at the Atlanta puppetry for the Arts and saw the show Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, which was adorable.
And then Sunday, Hannah and her little buddy Maddie, and Maddies Mom Holly and I took the girls out to lunch then to see Madeline's Christmas as the Atlanta Children's Theatre. The play was adorable, and we had such a wonderful time catching up with Holly and Maddie. The girls are so sweet together, they hugged and held hands most of the day with giggles.
And least but not last, the Christmas fun didn't end when we get home from the play. We spent the rest of the afternoon and into evening making cookies and goodies to hand out to the neighbors. Clearly, we had a reindeer theme going. Peanut butter Rudoplh cookies it was. Hannah loved going to all the neighbors houses, visiting our new friends and handing out the cookies. And of course, while we were at our neighbors door, Drew just took off running in their house, up their stairs and gave himself a self guided tour. It is a good thing our neighbor Bill knows how crazy Drew is and seems to love him anyway :)
We have another batch of cookies to get through this weekend, and I think the holiday baking will be over until next year. And this coming weekend, we told Hannah we would finally go and visit Santa so she can tell him what she wants for Christmas. She just told me this morning that she wants a Barbie and Ken Dream house that looks like the one from Toy Story :) Oh, and a super hero cape. Can't forget that one. I don't think her christmas would be complete without that cape, she has been talking about it for months now. And, not to be forgotten, this weekend we are going to celebrate Christmas atlanta style and take the kids to ride the pink pig train at Macy's at Lennox mall. We are told it is the thing to do... guess you have to try everything once!
We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season as much as we are!!
