This weekend we went to Wisconsin Dells, which we have learned is a very Minnesotan thing to do. We packed up the kids, and the car.. which seemed to be a lot of work. And headed off to Wisconsin for a 3.5 hour drive to meet up with our friends Matt and Prudence from Chicago, with their two little ones Charlie, and Claire. Above is the picture getting ready for our first family mini road trip.
And at the Dells, we had a great time. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and did not leave the hotel for the rest of the weekend. We played at the water park and had a ton of fun. Both Hannah and Drew loved it.
Hannah and Charlie got to know each other and finally learned to share on the jet ski in the toddler area after a lot of coercing.
Drew and Claire got pretty chummy, even holding hands a few times with a flirtatious smile. Claire being the older woman by all of 3 weeks, we were proud of Drew for making his move.
It was great to catch up with friends, and finally introduce our kids to each other which we well overdue. We are thinking this may be an annual trip.
