Summer Fun with Tessy Bear!
Meet Tess! She is Hannah and Drew's nanny, and is a true saint. We love our "Tessy Bear" as the kids call her. She starting watching the kids almost exactly a year ago when school started from 2-6pm Mon - Thurs, and helped the kids with homework and ran them around to all their activities. This summer Tess was full time every day, and I honestly don't know what we would do with out her. Thanks to Tess, the kids had an amazing summer, and I felt so happy about all the fun things they were able to do together this summer. All these pictures are sent to my from Tess during the work day, and always make me smile knowing they are having a good time. There are more of Drew than Hannah as Hannah was busy doing little camps with her friends that Drew is still too little for.
Tess's sister Abby is the nanny for Camden and Alexandra. It makes it so fun that they could all spend time together!! In the pictures above they were able to play at the park one afternoon.
And they went bowling...
Played laser tag.. Poor Drew was too little to play, so he got to play video games, which he thought was equally as cool.
While Hannah was at a camp, Tess took Drew to Build a Bear where he picked out a pug puppy and dressed him in a gator shirt!
A play date with his favorite gal Lundy!!
Lego land..
The Zoo!
Today's finale, the day before school starts was a trip to the aquarium. I guess outside the aquarium Toyota was setting up for an event, and Drew - well anyone that knows Drew knows his obsession for monster trucks. Apparently he screamed with excitement!
They had a great time at the aquarium
After that, they went on the all new "atlanta eye" which was just built in Atlanta. I didn't even know about it??
Tess said they went around about 20 times, and the kids absolutely loved it. Drew swears he could see our house. It right over Olympic Park. Tonight Drew told me that today he went to sea world and saw the olympics :)
Hannah said today was her favorite day of summer and had the best day ever. It makes me so happy to Tess loves Hannah and Drew like her own family and cares for them the same way I do. Makes leaving for work each day a little better knowing they are in such good hands and loved.
Hannah had such a fun summer, Vacation Bible School, Swim Team, Gymnastics Camp, Chatahooche Nature Center Camp ( her favorite) and Tennis Camp. There was rarely a dull moment. In between all those camps, she spent A LOT of time with her little neighborhood friends at the pool and more playmates than I can count. It is so fun watching her grow up, she is getting so big, so fast.
This weekend the pool was packed Friday night and Sunday with all the young families knowing this was the last weekend before school starts. It was so fun watching all the kids play together. What a fun neighborhood for them to grow up in, we couldn't be luckier. Sunday there were about 15 little girls, and about 4 boys at the pool playing. Poor Drew. Although once day he may not think this is all bad :)
Summer time fun is coming to and end, and school starts tomorrow. I need to clock to stop for just a little bit. I am not ready for this again yet.
