Wow, Time flies and I fell off the blog radar here recently! School is well under way and Hannah think her teacher is "awesome". You don't get many better reports than that. She loves going to school each day and has lots of little friends in her class. Life is good.
Drew is back at Goddard, and is in his prek2 class. He is already asking when he can go to kindergarten. 2 more years little buddy! He seems to be happy to have some play time back with this little friends, life is good for Drew too.
After school, the activities have started! Hannah is doing year round swimming, minus the long weekend meets. She has practice on Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesdays she has softball that starts this week. She is very excited as two of her good friends Camden and MacKenzie ( mac n cheese ) are on her team this year. Drew is playing t-ball this fall. It is a little coed team at the church, he couldn't be more excited about this! He loves to go outside and practice hitting. I think he will actually be a little bummed when he realizes it is on a tee and not pitched. He loves hitting in the front yard from our pitches!
Other than that, our weekends have been filled with family fun and family work. We have been trying to clean out toys, organize, do a little work in the basement with paint, built in etc. In between, we go to the pool before it gets too cold, and have seen the Disney movie "planes" twice already.
Here is a little summer fun, Lila, Camden and Hannah at the pool.
Hannah and Drew hugging it out at Peidmont Park one saturday afternoon. We met a friend for lunch in midtown and let the kids run around the park for a little while. And what midtown is known for... loved when the kids asked why guys were holding hands?!? I said they were brothers :)
This Friday night we took the kids to "pigs and peaches" festival in kennesaw. It is there annual festival and bbq contest. All kinds a bbq's camp out over night to try to win the bbq contest with the pork cooking all night long. They had a huge kids area with the bungees and bounce houses the kids loved. They asked if we could go there every weekend :)
Today Todd actually had to go into work for a little while, I am taking the kids to a birthday party, and I am sure make our 10th visit to home depot in the last week for some odds and ends for the basement. In between that, some laundry, grocery shopping and getting ready for the week to start. We are already looking forward to labor day weekend, we have a whole lot of nothing planned, cannot wait. I always look forward to a little down time!!
