Today we headed to one of the last "atlanta" sites we have not seen yet since moving here. The Atlanta Botanical Garden located in midtown. It was a gorgeous day outside, and really was the perfect way to spend the day. The flowers ( and pollen -haaaachooo) are in full bloom and the gardens were full or gorgeous colors. It was so peaceful and pretty to walk around, and they have a great kids area too for them to play, learn about the plants and vegetables and run around.
And since Hannah knows the basics on point and shoot with the camera now, Todd and I can actually be in a few pictures now that we have a tag-a-long photographer :) Here we are. Yup, we are the same, nothing to see her but the pretty tulips on the background :)
Hannah, almost 4 ft tall.. I think she is around 46 inches these days. The tallest girl in her class, I am still not sure where she gets this from.
And after all the fun we had at the Botanical Garden, we headed to the original Chick-fil-a to eat for lunch. It is called the Dwarf house and you can enter through a little door and for whatever reason, on one of the walls, there are the 7 seven dwarfs animated and moving on the wall singing Hii--ho. All I know is that it was my first experience at a "sit down" chick-fil-a and macaroni and cheese was listed as well as sweet potato soufflé as a vegetable on the menu. Both of which ended up at our table and I can tell you there was nothing vegetable about it unless butter is now classified as a new vegetable. It was good, real good though. I think the best part of the lunch was that it was right next to the airport, and each time Drew saw a plane land he about flipped out with excitement, it was cute.
A really great day, great weather, kids were good, we are tired. Looking forward to a good nights rest for everyone.
