New Shoes, Sparkleys!!

There they are .. her new "sparkleys" as Hannah calls them!! I am not sure if January in Minnesota is really just that depressing that the only thing worth writing about this week is Hannah's new shoes, or.... are the shoes the biggest thing that happened to Hannah this week? It is perhaps.. a combination of the two.  Last fall, we bought Hannah some silver glitter shoes she just had to have. Well, she ended up wearing those shoes every day since she got them, and would rarely leave the house with out her "sparkleys" or her pink ballet flats. A few days ago, I realized just how small they were on her feet and decided I could only replace glitter with glitter.   While the picture doesn't do the turquoise glitter with pink polka dot shoes justice, the picture of Hannah starring down at her new shoes does. She loves them, and has been talking about them non-stop. While dropping her off at daycare today, she stopped and showed all her teachers and friends. When we picked her up... everyone came up to us to tell us how Hannah showed them her new shoes.   She is all girl, and loves anything princess like... the glitter did the trick!!

Other than a new pair of shoes, life is pretty quiet here. It is snowing... again, it is really cold as always. We are thankful this week that we both still have jobs. Target laid off 9% of head quarters yesterday. We both made it and are thankful, yet sad for those affected.  It is a good reminder to be thankful for everything we have today, while our future is unknown, we have eachother and that is what matters.
