Our little princess turned 2 today!! It is hard to believe two years have passed. And to think, two years ago today we were in the hospital in awe of our newborn. And today, we are in awe of our little toddler. She surprises us each day with new things she has learned and the new things she says. Watching her personality come to life is heart felt adventure. She is loving, caring, sensitive, and quite funny too. Her favorite things these days are of course "Dora the Explorer" and Dora's friend Boots.. can't ever forget him. She loves to play with her kitchen, dolls, dress up and stickers. She loves to be around her friends and pretend play. She is always walking around the house with a baby stroller, a purse and a baby bottle saying "Buh bye" and going for a walk around the house with her things in tote. It is amazing how much she has changed over the last year, I can't even image what the next year has in store for us, I can't wait! :)
Our birthday girl started her day off with a pink streamer decorated breakfast table set with a doughnut hole and a new Dora book. She got dressed up for her big day, wore her birthday princess shirt, crown, tutu, ballet flats - and she was ready. After all, it was her special day, a tutu is only appropriate. And I think her favorite part of the morning was that she got a phone call at 6:45am from Eleanor & her Mom to wish her a happy birthday. Hannah was on the phone with a smile from ear to ear.
All week when we talked about her birthday she cared about two things. 1) Bithday Hat and 2.) Dora and boots cake. We found out at school the birthday girl/ boy gets to wear a special hat all day. We brought in cupcakes for the kids, they sang to her and she did indeed wear her special hat. In fact, she didn't take it off for the rest of the day. She was so tuckered out from her day, she fell asleep in the car the minute we left school.
One tired birthday girl.. but the party isn't over yet..
It was cupcake time after dinner!! ( No worries, we didn't let her eat the whole cupcake) Hannah loves to dig right in... .and since it was her big day, manners didn't apply.
Hannah shared her special cupcake with her baby doll and baby's new higchair, and baby's new special birthday outfit too. Hannah thought it was so cool that they both had cupcakes, and a birthday hat!!!
On Saturday is Hannah's official party with Bella and Eleanor. We are going to an indoor park, and then back to our house for the Dora themed pizza and cake extravaganza. She then.... will finally get her Dora and Boots cake.
Thanks to you everyone that called with their birthday wishes and songs. She loved hearing from everyone, and always had a big grin on the other side of the phone feeling so special. She loves her gifts and all the new toys.. thank you!!
And finally to Hannah..
Happy Birthday Sweet heart. We love you so much, and we are so thankful to have you in our lives. You fill our house with love, and make it a home. We look forward to the years ahead of us, the laughter, the joy, and the inspiration you bring to our lives each day. We hope you had a special day!! We love you!!

What a doll, but I cannot believe Hannah did not wear Orange and Blue on this prestigious day. January 8 is Hannah's birthday AND Gators win NC day! Or is is Gators win NC every other year, regardless of date?
