Moving on up... to the west side....

Well, to the northwest side.... Our last night in our first home. So many memories made, yet so many more in store for the future. And to think, over the last 4 years in this little house, we managed to get married,  give our precious Murphy a home, and welcome Hannah into our lives with so much love. While we know that a house is a house, and a family is what makes a home, it is still hard to say good-bye to the many happy memories. We will miss the the charm, the character, Pepitos, and the gorgeous walks along the parkway and the lake and having our friends so close by. But we are looking forward starting a new chapter in our lives as well. This month also marks my 10 year anniversary in Minnesota. 10 years ago, I would had never imagined I would be married, with a beautiful daughter that brings me more joy and happiness than I could had ever imagined, my beloved Murphy, and now a house in the suburbs. Suburbs?!?!? That might be the most unbelievable part. But, here we go.. wish us luck!!  Hopefully we don't scare off the neighbors with our Gator and Buckeye flags :) Plymouth here we come!

Grandma and Grandpa Dice Visit

And look how happy they all are!!  Grandma and Grandpa were so nice to come visit and help mom and dad pack... as well as watch Hannah as we get ready for our move. I  know we couldn't had done it without them!!!  Hannah just loved her grandparents and was even saying their names by the time they left.  She was so sad to see them go.... the night the left Hannah cried and cried, as I asked he if she missed grandma and grandpa she would nod yes.   Thanks Grandma and Grandpa... I miss you!!!

And that's how they roll...

At least that is how Bella rolls... Hannah was her first passenger though. It was too cute, Bella was excited to have a passenger, and Hannah loved riding in the car. When Bella would accelerate, they would both giggle. So much fun!

Our first real day of summer..

Well, Minnesota hasn't really warmed up as quickly as we had hoped, prayed, and wished for this year. We have really only had a few sunny days that would inspire putting on the swim suit and splashing around. Since we only have a back yard for another week before we move.... we thought we would take advantage of it. Hannah loved playing with the hose, and filling up bowls of water. We had put the inflateble swimming pool out for her, but think it was just a little too chilly for that. Let's hope for some better weather so we can enjoy summer to the fullest.

Hannah's first dinner party

Hannah had a memorial day dinner party with Eleanor and Ray... Ray was one lucky guy with two girls by his side. I think they all felt special being at their own table enjoying some chicken nuggets and fruit :)

Hannah & Murphy enjoying spring.

Here they are... the inseparable Hannah and Murphy. Enjoying a spring day, and sharing some goldfish.. which Hannah likes to feed Murphy just one at a time. And each time she gives him one, she lets out a cute little giggle.

Lions say roar, Hannah says ROAR!

Hannah loves to make Lion sounds, and now she even loves to coem at you like a little defenslis antelope. All joking aside, she has really enjoyed the warmer weather and loves to run around and investigate outside.

Bike ride anyone?

Over the weekend we bought a bike trailer so we could enjoy some bike rides around the lakes this summer, something we couldn't take advantage of last summer when she was so little. So... all excited to enjoy the outdoors, Dad put together the trailer, and Hannah tried to help. We got her helmet on, and off we went.. as she cried about 80% of the time. Not the relxing bike ride we had hoped for. We realized her helmet was falling over her eyes and she couldn't see very well... so this weekend will be a search for a new helmet :) For the short moments the helmet was off, she did love the ride, and yelling "woof, woof" everytime she saw a dog. We had visions of her and Murphy riding together, but Hannah needs to learn to be a little more "gentle" with Murphy first and understand he isn't a stuffed animal :)

Spring time is in motion, finally....

Well, after a few consecutive days in the mid 60's I would like to think we are on the up swing for weather. Please cross your fingers Global Warming helps Minnesota out soon... ok, kidding, that wasn't funny to the environmentalist... but come on... warm up Minnesota!!!

We are having a good time, enjoying our few months of sanity with weather above zero... Hannah tries to do everything her dad does in the yard. She loves to follow him around...Daddy's little helper.

Happy Mother's Day 2008

Here we are with our signs again! :) Mother's day was a great day... Dad let Mom sleep in an extra hour and mom her favorite french toast for breakfast. We played with Hannah in the morning and later in the afternoon went to the zoo where Hannah practiced all her animal sounds as she saw the lions and monkeys. Hannah too her first ride on a carousel which she loved. I was nervous to get on with her. I was having visions of her excitement to see the Easter Bunny when in line, and when the time came to sit on his lap, full meltdown went into effect. As we stood in line, she was so excited and bobbing her head to the music. Hannah and Mom rode together and Hannah was holding on to the bar in front of her with white knuckles, and a smile on her face. She loved it. I am seeing a lot more carousel rides in our future this summer.

Dad and Hannah made a special card for Mom with lots of fun pictures of Hannah, and a special book for mom for Hannah's first year. It brough tears to Mom's eyes.. it was very special.
