Happy 7th Birthday Drew!!

Happy Birthday to this guy!!! Sure, the update may be a few months late... but promise, we celebrated his birthday in September. Our little 7 year old wanted nothing more than to go fishing and spend a day at a lake with our friends the Rathbuns for his birthday. Drew and his buddy Max became  good little buddies this summer during baseball season.  The best part is Max has an older sister Mackenzie that gets along great with Hannah and they have become good friends too.   Drew had a great birthday celebration. His presents consisted of an Eno, fishing gear, legos, and a sleeping bag

Here are Drew and Max, everything thinks they are brothers and not just friends.  They are so much a like it is scary.  Two adorable boys that have so much fun together.

Here are the foursome, Drew, Max, Mackenzie and Hannah. The best part of the day was the pontoon boat with a slide. They could had gone off that slide all day.

Drew tried knee boarding for the first time. He figured it out right away and had fun. His arms were pretty sore the next day!

Tubing!! Always a lake time favorite. They laughed and laughed. Loved watching these boys.

And then they fished. They tried so hard to catch one and finally got a catfish off the dock.  Drew's highlight of the day.

Overall a wonderful birthday celebration that two families could enjoy. It was a gorgeous day and a great way to spend an afternoon, and a perfect end to summer

Let me describe Drew as a 7 year old. He is crazy, fun, funny as heck, adorable, sweet yet defiant and as energetic as they come. He doesn't stop... ever. He is always running, jumping, biking, fishing, playing sports, dancing, playing with friends, swimming and alway .. the life of the party. Drew will plan with anyone, seriously if there is a kid around he will run up to them and ask them to play.
His favorite things in life are baseball, fishing, and playing with friends.  He spends his down time on you tube watching videos of fishing... seriously, for hours watching someone try to catch a fish. It boggles my mind that he can do that.  He is fully entertained by it.   He plays his baseball with passion and perseverance. He loves the game, but most of all, he loves the friends he has made each season. When he goes to the baseball field his face lights up with excitement when he sees all his little friends at the park, then off they go. It warms my heart to see how much fun has has with the sport and the friendships he has made.

I look forward to what Drew does over the next year. He will always amaze, good and bad, and he will always melt my heart into a thousand puddles. I love that he still wants to cuddle and night time and he still holds my hand when we walk in and out of stores and new places. I know that will change sooner than I want it to, so I embrace what I have today.

I love you little buddy!! Happiest of birthdays,
Mom, Dad, Hannah, Lucy and Murphy.
