Hannah's special trip to see Grandpa Steinemann

So last weekend Hannah and Daddy to a very special trip. We went to see Grandpa Steinemann in Pennsylvania. It was really great to be able to have a special trip that was all about "hannah time". She's a great big sister to Drew, but it was time to have Daddy and Grandpa focus on her.

She was a great little traveler and we had a fun travel agenda. First we drove in to daycare/downtown with Mommy and Drew, then we walked a block to the light rail station, then we took the train to the airport. She's obviously flown on an airplane a few times as she knew as we walked into the airport that we need to take our shoes off. When we arrived in Baltimore to meet grandpa she took off running to give him a big hug - she hadn't seen him in almost a year!

We had a great trip. We went to nearby Hershey and Hannah got to go on the chocolate ride - a great tour of how chocolate is made. And then, after the ride she got her very own "freshly made" mini chocolate bar! She also talked daddy into getting her a big chocolate shake and I think all of the sweets helped keep her awake for her very special surprise. Grandpa got tickets to see Disney's Toy Story 3 on Ice! She loved it! She sat still the whole two hours and barely blinked an eye. The highlight was seeing Barbie as part of the show.

To top it all off the next day we got to go have breakfast with Gramps friends and sister - she loved meeting Aunt Sis. Then we all went down to Baltimore to visit the Aquarium. She had a great time laughing and playing the back seat with Nancy. We saw rays, sharks and a ton of fish, but her favorite was the dolphin show. We even saw a big sailing ship come into port with guys singing on the masts. We told her they were pirates which made it even cooler ;)

Overall we had a great time and Hannah was a great little traveler. She loved seeing her grandpa and I think she really loved being the focus again. It was so much fun to see how much she's grown and what a great little girl shes turning into.
