Lake Hartwell Weekend

Last weekend we went to Lake Hartwell for the weekend as guests of our neighbors and friends the Jaillet family.  We had so much fun and made for the perfect weekend. Great weather, great friends and lots of laughs. What else could you ask for?

The pictures are out of order, but on the Saturday night there were fireworks over the lake. A gorgeous sunset and peaceful night made for a great evening. The kids all fell asleep on the way back from the fireworks as they were really worn out!!

this was from the first evening at the lake. The kids jumped right in off the dock, and did that about 100 times that night. We immediately took the tubes and boat out for tuning, and of course, they loved it.

Drew had a great time fishing. He caught a bunch of little brim fish. The dog next to him is Haley, the Jaillets dog who really  couldn't be any sweeter. When the kids were in the water, Haley would swim up to each kid and make sure they were ok. It was good.

And this was the majority of the weekend! Hannah and her best friend Lila on the back of this tube. They never fell off either as much as we tried.  They laughed and laughed and laughed. I just had a big smile on my face the whole time watching them. Nothing is better than seeing them have so much fun together with this big smiles.

When the boat would slow down they would try to stand up and surf. It was pretty funny.

Happy Drew. He loved riding on the boat and would sit next to Haley the dog most of the time just petting her making sure she was ok.

Yup, that is our little 4 year old Drew up on water skis!!!Highlight of Drew's trip and definitely one of my highlights. After the 2nd attempt, he got right up and kept wanting to go again and again. He asked Jason if the next time they went to the lake if they didn't have friends to take if he could go with him and water ski? It was funny.

Todd went tuning with Lila and Hannah. He stood up in the middle of flipped right off Lilas side. The kids and adults were laughing so hard!!

Susan and jason had a real fun time taking Todd and I on a tube ride. Lets just say there was no mercy and they tried to hit every big wave they could. OMG. WE both finally flipped out but it was pretty funny!

Overall, an awesome weekend with so many smiles and so many laughs. I wish every weekend could be that relaxing. No phones, no computers, water, sunsets, and friends. The perfect weekend!!
