Each year we seem to have our annual fall outings, beginning with the MN state fair labor day weekend. This year, with the great weather, unlike last fall, we hit all our favorite events. The fair, the plymouth carnival, the apple orchard and finally the corn maze. Hannah and Drew had a great day today. The were able to jump around in a corn pit, both of which were laughing hysterically. The could jump high, far, and land whatever they wanted, there was practically no way they could get hurt. The had a blast.
And unlike the typical pony ride type of day, Hannah got to ride a camel. We were at the petting zoo where Hannah hand fed goats, camels, deer, donkeys, llamas a solid meal of cheerios, we thought we would head over so she could get a pony ride. She took one look and said "no mom and dad, I am riding a camel, not a pony".. oh, ok we thought. She had such conviction we weren't going to argue. It wasn't up until she was ready to get on we finally knew why she wanted to ride the camel..... because she told us, that is what "princess jasmine" did. All understood now.... she loved it and had a big smile on her face.
And little Drew, the guy is happy where ever he goes. As long as he can run around and climb on things, he is happy. I loved the petting zoo, the corn pit and was laughing, pointing, and yelling when he saw Hannah up on that camel. It was really cute!!
After all of that, at night time when I asked Hannah what her favorite part of the day was...her response was "watching Daddy jump in the pool today". It is a long story, one that Todd probably does not want on the blog, but lets just say that Hannah came home from swimming completely dry and Daddy came home from swimming lessons soaking wet with a ruined phone and wet shoes feeling a little silly. We have had a lot of good laughs today.
